Hi everybody - it's been a while! Let's skip any discussions about the delay (my parents are busy!) and get right to it. It's been a good year so far (by seasons):
WINTER 2013
The year started with our annual ski trip to Deer Valley in Park City, UT. I occupied myself with devices and beverages (requests that my bottle be refilled) on the plane (and deluded my parents into thinking I would nap).
We made it there in one piece! The next morning - in ski lodge paradise, in pajamas.
The big folks told me all about this stuff called "powder." Here I am bundled in multiple layers, trying this out.
I wasn't such a fan of the "powder" but Safta was a great sport helping me have my first sledding experience!
Things improved when I discovered this porch swing.
Happy trails!
After all this fresh air and snow, me and my friend Jordyn headed indoors for the apres ski. I am told this is the best part!
SPRING 2013
Spring commenced with a big milestone - I turned two! This involved celebrating with friends, juice boxes and snacks (which I attempted to hoard)
Unfortunately, I was not allowed to have all these cupcakes to myself. I had to share!
Turning 2 is very exciting :)
I was so enthused, I tried to start a wave.
Me, Saba and Zayde - they both got a turn with me!
My birthday celebration involved music and egg shakers -- and I was allowed to have a bunch to myself this time. Birthday boy perks.
I then showed off my smooth moves, circa 1995.
I only had to wear this uncomfortable hat for a few seconds, fortunately. I don't quite see the point of pretending to be a cake when you can eat one!
The warmer weather allowed me to go outside and do "swings and swides" as I like to call them.
Sunshine = sunglasses!
And flowers...
And of course, plenty of snacks. Look - no jacket!
Hi. Yes, I'm angling for the class of 2022 : )
Climbing trees is great fun. I take all the credit for this (there is no adult helping me... ahem)
One annoying thing about NYC - the paparazzi can spring up at any moment and try to take my picture.
Lincoln center - seconds before I gave us all a heart attack and tried jumping off the fountain!
More swings and swides
We went to brunch on mother's day. My mom would argue that she deserves more than one day {likely a whole year!}
SUMMER 2013
Summer brought the opportunity for even fewer layers.
This is me having nudist play time.
We took a trip to Florida in June where it was 90 degrees. Lots of pool time.
I even made friends - only a little flirtation was required :)
Family time!! After the pool, we met up with our cousins.
We really bonded - and did a group hug before saying goodbye. Until next time!
In July, we visited East Hampton. I felt so posh!
In addition to the pool, we checked out the beach. Me, my friend Rose, and some sand.
Life's a beach!
Back home, there was even time for pillow fights
We ended our trip with a visit with dada's coworkers, who also have boys. We all had a blast taking a ride on a a sailboat transport thingy.
In August, I went to the Ulster County Fair in New Paltz, NY. Fireman Adam, to the rescue!
Then I fed an animal that appeared to be a goat. Lots of purell afterwards...
We visited with friends in Fairfield, CT. I discovered many joys of suburban shopping and did not even have to share!
Me reading about the catipillar hunger crisis.
We even got to go on a boat, on a very beautiful day.
Captain Adam, going 75 knots in a northeast wind.
Photos tend to go better when I am allowed to have a lollypop.
Before the summer ended, I squeezed in more pool time.
This is me, digging for dinosaur bones.
Jordyn and I had great fun getting totally wet.
Ahh, bathing suits - that's better!
I relaxed afterwards in a hammock (which is similar to a swing and swide).
A quick shot of me attempting to swim in the bath, while channeling the Martin Short onion skit from SNL (don't worry if you don't get the reference)
Summer was a blast! What a great 2013 so far... Happy New Year, everyone!
